Phil Bennett

Founder, Private guide and Safari specialist.

For over a decade, Phil has worked as a General Manager, Nature Guide and Guide Trainer at a number of Africa's top lodges and walking safari operators in both Southern and Eastern Africa.

After many years living in remote wilderness areas, he has a deep understanding not just of the destinations and lodge facilities on offer, but of African ecosystems and their flora and fauna.

Whether he is focused on arranging your 1st or 5th safari, or examining and interpreting the sign left along the trail of a rhino during a privately guided safari, he is passionate and enthusiastic about making your trip the very best it can be.

 A knowledgeable guide has a profound influence on your safari experience. Phil’s expertise on both game drives and walks is beyond excellent. He has a deep understanding of the wildlife, the land, the culture and history. His knowledge is only enhanced by his graciousness. I recommend Phil very highly to anyone on Safari, whether this is your first or your fiftieth. I cannot think of any experience more glorious, beautiful or exciting than being on safari. Phil is absolutely the best guide for your experience.

Why We Exist

Guide Samson at a natural hot springs in Tanzania

We believe that the vast decline in the world's natural wilderness areas and the epic loss of species and diversity is a solvable problem. It is a human necessity that we find a way to do so and to live sustainably in this magnificent world as an ever growing population.

We believe the solutions can be found in the collective minds of people with a will to do so. The more people in our collective governments, NGOs and private businesses with the passion and will to bring about innovative change, the closer we come to achieving real sustainable living on this earth for all species and natural habitats. Before we can start to find solutions we must understand not just the challenges we face but also why we should care;

We need to see the wonder of the natural world!

On Safari-in exists so that we can create your journey of a lifetime; to show you Africa or help you discover it for yourself.

We are dedicated to pushing the status quo and envisage creating a global community - forums of people- with a real desire to find collaborative solutions and create a balance between human development and a healthy world with diverse ecosystems.
